A funny thing happened on the way to the mat for the founders of Metta Journeys: They realized they could use their yoga prowess to create a new kind of destination retreat—one that combines philanthropy and yoga’s generosity of spirit. Aspiring activists travel to war-torn regions (Rwanda is the first stop) and develop a relationship with a local “sister” who they can revisit the following year.
