Woman Experiences Astonishing Recovery from Fibromyalgia
Heather Shinsky experienced the full range of trauma that is typical to the two to four percent of the population suffering from fibromyalgia (Source: American College of Rheumatology). The symptoms include chronic headaches and fatigue, sleep disorders, dizziness, muscular pain and weakness, joint pain, problems urinating, vision problems, chest pain, nausea, and more. And like the majority of fibromyalgia patients, Heather was told by her health care professionals that little is known about fibromyalgia and that there is no cure. Rather, her doctors focused on dealing with each symptom as it arose and treating her with Tylenol and anti-depressants.
After a friend recommended Dr. Karl R.O.S. Johnson, DC, Heather turned to the Johnson Chiropractic Neurology & Nutrition Center. Rather than hearing again that fibromyalgia was something she had to learn to live with, Heather received very different treatment from Dr. Johnson.
Dr. Johnson combines functional neurological treatment, metabolic therapy, and structural therapy, the specifics of which are determined by extensive neurological and metabolic testing to pin down the precise needs of each patient. Dr. Johnson's methods and reasoning are spelled out in his book, Reclaim Your Life: Your Guide to Revealing Your Body's Life-Changing Secrets for Renewed Health. The book is available at Amazon amzn.to/TmPgZW.
Heather's treatment progressed rapidly, with visible improvement only three days after starting her treatment program with Dr. Johnson. Within one year Heather was able to resume skiing with her husband, is again able to stand for extended periods of time, no longer requires a long nap in the middle of day, and has been able to begin an exercise program.
Most health care practitioners continue to insist that there's no effective treatment for fibromyalgia and that the millions of women who suffer from it just need to learn to cope. Heather begs to differ.
