Visioneer “Where There Is a Need” Program Supports the National Brain Tumor Society
Each year over 210,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with a primary or metastatic brain tumor – that’s over 500 people every day. Visioneer Inc, a leader in intelligent document imaging solutions announced today that this quarter’s chosen charity is the National Brain Tumor Society. Brain tumors are the second leading cause of cancer death in children under age 20. Only one out of three adults diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor today will be alive in five years. More so than any other cancer, a brain tumor can have life-altering psychological, cognitive, behavioral, and physical effects.
National Brain Tumor Society “This quarter Visioneer was deeply saddened by the loss of an employee’s family member who bravely fought a cancerous brain tumor for 6 years,” said Greg Elder, Visioneer’s CFO and Sustainability Officer. “Our donation this quarter is in honor of this family and to all the families affected by this disease.”
