ManpowerGroup, the world leader in innovative workforce solutions and proud supporter of military veterans, will sponsor the first Wounded Warrior vs. Green Bay Packer/NFL Alumni Flag Football Challenge, to be held Saturday, August 10 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis. At the event, the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team, comprised of men and women who lost a limb in Iraq or Afghanistan, will compete against a team of former Green Bay Packers and other NFL alumni in a game of flag football. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team, a non-profit disability advocacy and support organization.

The challenge will be hosted by Green Bay Packer alum, Jerry Kramer. In addition, recent pro football Hall of Fame inductee and former Green Bay Packer Dave Robinson will make his first local public appearance since his Hall of Fame induction. Also participating will be former NFL players including Ahman Green, Don Beebe, Chris Jacke, Bill Schroeder, Harry Sydney, and Randy Wright. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and there will be free photo and autograph sessions for ticket holders.

“ManpowerGroup is proud to support this event that showcases American heroes achieving all that is humanly possible and realizing their potential on the field and in life,” said Julie Cole, ManpowerGroup vice president of marketing, North America. “ManpowerGroup is fully committed to helping all military veterans make an effective transition to the civilian workforce and find meaningful employment.”

One of Manpower’s programs to transition military veterans to the workforce is Project Ability, which is a national disability employment program. In collaboration with employers and community organizations, Project Ability helps job seekers with disabilities and veterans find meaningful, rewarding employment opportunities. At the same time, Project Ability helps employers hire for hard-to-fill jobs with targeted recruitment strategies, and successfully implement or expand diversity and inclusion programs with disability awareness and accommodation training.
