Gold’s Gym and Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine Team Up to Help “Trim The Fat” this Thanksgiving
Delicious healthy recipes? Exclusive exercise routines? Free workouts across America? The 4,500 calories in your typical Thanksgiving Day meal have just been put on notice.
Gold’s Gym, the leading authority on health and fitness, and celebrity chef (and Gold’s Gym Fitness Institute member) Robert Irvine have teamed up to help consumers trim the calories this holiday season …without trimming the taste on their Thanksgiving meals. As part of the company’s annual “Trim the Fat” promotion, the Food Network star is dishing out eight figure-friendly versions of traditional Thanksgiving recipes.
In addition, Gold’s Gym will release a “Full Plate of Workouts”—Thanksgiving-themed workout routines designed to burn 500 calories each—and open up its doors to the public for free on Black Friday, November 29th.
“I’m really excited to be working with Gold’s Gym for Trim the Fat this year and helping people across the country put some new spins on old favorites,” said Food Network personality, Robert Irvine. “From appetizers and entrees to desserts and leftovers, these recipes have you covered for the entire Thanksgiving Day meal, and as an added bonus, hit up Gold’s Gym for free the next day and carve off some calories!”
Consumers can visit Goldsgym.com/TrimtheFat to download Irvine’s healthier and delicious versions of Thanksgiving dishes, a few of which include: Citrus and Herb Stuffed Turkey, Hominy Hoppin’ John Salad, Pumpkin Ricotta Cheesecake, and Turkey Sliders.
Additionally, visitors to the site will find exclusive Thanksgiving-themed workouts like “The Mashed Potato Workout” and “The Turkey Workout.” Created by some of the nation’s top celebrity trainers and designed to burn 500 calories each, the workouts can be downloaded and tested out for free at their local participating Gold’s Gym.
Those looking for additional information on how to have a happy—yet healthy—Thanksgiving can participate in a “Trim the Fat” Tweetup with Robert Irvine on Tuesday, 11/19 at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT that will give fans a chance to ask their cooking and nutrition questions using #AskIrvine, and including #TrimtheFat.
