Foods from Chile Steps Up to Sponsor American Heart Association's 2013 Wall Street Run & Heart Walk

[title]

At today's American Heart Association 2013 Wall Street Run & Heart Walk in New York City, bountiful flavors and wholesome Chilean nutrition will meet walkers' steps and runners' highs. The event is one of seven Heart Walk events that Foods from Chile will sponsor this year to help the AHA raise funds for cardiovascular research and education. The Foods from Chile team will be on hand to demonstrate unity with AHA's goals and help more than 15,000 participants learn to improve their cardiovascular fitness by enjoying the heart-healthy benefits of nutritious Chilean food.

"We'll also be cheering people on and passing out samples of delicious-tasting clementines, walnuts, and grapes from Chile's rich, fertile valleys," said Agathe Blanchon-Ehrsam , director of Vivaldi Fifth Season, the agency that designed and is orchestrating the Foods from Chile campaign.

One lucky Heart Walk participant will take home a Foods from Chile Cooking Kit, stocked with kitchen gadgets, heart-healthy recipe cards, and tasty Chilean fare. The kit has been a crowd favorite at many Foods from Chile events.

Fans who can't make it to the Heart Walk can still whet their appetites by visiting foodsfromchile.org and the Foods from Chile Facebook page to check out event photos. Health-seeking foodies also can learn more about Foods from Chile, including the latest recipes, activities, and events, on Pinterest and Twitter at @FoodsFromChile by following hashtags #NowInSeason and #FoodsFromChile.

Working with the 2013 Wall Street Run & Heart Walk is just one of the ways Foods from Chile is supporting AHA's mission to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent by 2020. This fall, Foods from Chile will sponsor Los Angeles or Miami AHA Heart Walks and participants will be treated to nutritious samples of Chilean delights, recipe cards, and other giveaways.
