CreakyJoints Announces "Reward Your RA Success"
CreakyJoints, the vibrant online community dedicated to helping people of all ages manage their arthritis, today announced an online free educational initiative that lets participants earn rewards while learning about Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). Reward Your RA Success (RewardYourRA.org) was created by CreakyJoints to provide unbiased, objective information to people living with RA and their family members to help manage the disease. The program was developed through the support of Crescendo Bioscience, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company and maker of the Vectra DA test to measure RA disease activity.
"With 55,000 members on CreakyJoints.org and many more who visit us on Facebook and Twitter, we recognized that by making the site fun with rewards they could earn, we could help our audience learn more about their disease," says Seth Ginsberg , co-founder and president of CreakyJoints.
"When we met with Crescendo Bioscience and learned about its blood test, Vectra DA, we knew it could be a game-changer for those living with RA and that CreakyJoints needed to be a part of that change," continued Ginsberg. "We saw an opportunity to make a significant educational impact to help our members work with their physicians to treat to their target remission or to a point where their disease activity is as low as possible."
The content of Reward Your RA Success was created in partnership with leading arthritis physician Stephen Paget , MD, FACP, FACR, Physician in Chief Emeritus of the Division of Rheumatology at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, NY. Through different media, including videos, commentary, the latest scientific and medical research, and timely news summarized in easy-to-understand language, Reward Your RA Success arms patients with current information on treatment guidelines, tracking tools for objective disease monitoring, and ways to improve communication with physicians. This information can help patients better understand their options and make the decisions that help physicians manage their disease.
"RewardYourRA.org videos are a fun way to feel connected and get informed," wrote Sharon Houk of Chicago, a new member of Reward Your RA Success. "The information on this site will help people better manage their disease, and perhaps even avoid serious complications. For folks with RA and those who love them, this is a fun way to get hope. Way to go CreakyJoints.org!"
"We partnered with CreakyJoints because of the great work they do to improve the lives of people living with RA and other forms of arthritis," stated Oscar Segurado , MD, Chief Medical Officer for Crescendo Bioscience. "We share with CreakyJoints a belief that knowledgeable and engaged patients are better equipped to work with their doctors to manage their RA towards clinical remission."
