Celebrity Most In Need of a Good Night Sleep Is...
Boll & Branch, the leading manufacturer and online retailer of luxury organic bedding, today released the results of a nationwide survey indicating which overstressed celebrity is most in need of a restful night's sleep. Justin Bieber topped the charts, followed by Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan.
"With his recent exploits well-documented, the public clearly believe that Justin Bieber would be well-served to forgo a few late-nights of partying to catch up on his shuteye," said Scott Tannen, CEO of Boll & Branch. "I chalk Justin's news-making decisions up to the fact that his sheets are most likely lacking the quality and comfort that Boll & Branch sheets provide. Therefore, we'll be making sure Mr. Bieber gets a set of our 100 percent organic sheets."
Celebrity sleep survey results:
- Justin Bieber garnered the most votes, with 48.01 percent of respondents selecting him as the celebrity most in need of a good night's sleep
- Not to be left out, Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan came in at number two and three, with 17.55 percent and 16.89 percent of the votes respectively
- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the only non-entertainer on the list, received a surprising 8.94 percent of the votes
- Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift both received only 0.66 percent of the votes
Underlining the fun survey is a serious message about the benefits of quality restful sleep. Sleep deprivation sets people up for risky decision making, which may explain why Bieber is in the news so often, for all the wrong reasons. Studies have proven that comfortable bedding is vital for optimal sleep and that personal performance is closely linked to good sleeping habits.
"People who are sleep deprived have very poor judgment when evaluating their own performance," says Donna Arand, PhD, DABSM, clinical director of the Kettering Sleep Disorders Center in Dayton, Ohio. "They think they are doing well on memory, eye-hand coordination tests or [good] behavior, but they're not."
"The comfort of luxury sheets has always been reserved for the ultra-rich and famous," continued Tannen. "But with our cutting-edge business model, we've been able to make spectacular, organic sheets affordable to everyone by cutting out the big retailer markups and selling exclusively online."
