Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation Declares June Month To Join Childhood Cancer Fight

[title]

Just in time for summer and "lemonade season," Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is inviting volunteers across the country to join the battle against childhood cancer throughout June. Whether it's hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand during the Foundation's National Lemonade Days (June 8-10, 2012), or visiting one of its many sponsor fundraisers, ALSF is on a mission to raise millions of dollars to help find a cure for all kids with cancer in June.

Among those who have already joined the battle, members of the newly formed National Advisory Board (NAB), including Marc Summers, Jimmy Kimmel, Kirsten Vangsness and Bailee Madison. Members of the NAB will contribute their time and talents to helping cure childhood cancer.

National Lemonade Days

From Friday, June 8 – Sunday, June 10, thousands of volunteers will host Alex's Lemonade Stands from coast to coast during National Lemonade Days. Evolving from Alexandra "Alex" Scott's mission to raise $1 million in 2004, volunteers will host over 2,000 stands and fundraising events during this weekend. The stands will provide a fun and easy way for children, family, friends, businesses and organizations to raise awareness while learning the important lesson of giving back.

Additionally, the Foundation's website allows visitors to search for events by zip code, event name or host name: AlexsLemonade.org/search/alex_search.
