In Season: Strawberries
Strawberries are one of the many gifts that May has to offer us. This is when they are at their peak, giving us a fragrantly sweet taste that fits well in many recipes. Keep in mind that strawberries are very perishable, so only purchase them a few days before you use them!
Place 1/2 cup hemp seeds, 1 cup plain or vanilla non-dairy milk, 1 cup water, 2 cups frozen sliced bananas, 1/2 cup or more fresh strawberries, 1 tablespoon whole white chia seeds, and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon in a blender and purée for a few minutes to ensure the hemp and chia seeds are pulverized and well incorporated.
