Low-Flow

Oil shortage? Let’s talk water shortage for a minute—a topic that is easily just as worthy of concern. A recent government survey showed that 36 states are expecting water shortages by 2013.

In addition to the increasingly popular low-flow toilet bowl flushing system, showerheads and sink faucets are implementing the EPA’s low-flow standards through a program called WaterSense—the equivalent of Energy Star for home appliances. Since 2006, this program has helped save 125 billion gallons of water and over $2 billion in water and energy bills!

We have come a long way in conserving water during our bathroom-related tasks. Comfort no longer has to be compromised, either. The EPA adheres to consumers’ standards to ensure products yield the same water coverage and spray intensity that is characteristic of a relaxing shower—and may, quite possibly, be even be better.
