DIY Non-Toxic Cleaners

Making your own cleaning products can not only save you money, but also save your health.

Produce Cleanser
Mix a little sea salt and vinegar with water for an easy fruit and veggie cleaner. This will help defray some of the pesticide load.

Window Cleaner
2 teaspoons vinegar
1 quart warm water
Mix ingredients in a spray bottle, shake, and spray on windows, wiping with an old cotton cloth or newspaper.

Multi-Purpose Cleaner
1/4 cup baking soda
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 gallon warm water
Mix all ingredients and pour into a spray bottle.

Carpet Stain Remover
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle; spray on stain and let sit for several minutes. Clean with a brush or sponge using warm, soapy water.
