Don’t Skip the Apple-tizer!


Looking to avoid the dreaded post-Thanksgiving weight gain? Eat an apple 15 minutes before the feast. A recent study from Penn State University found that people who munched one apple before a meal consumed 15 percent fewer calories. But sink your teeth into the whole fruit: Applesauce and apple juice didn’t have the same effect because they weren’t as filling as the real deal.
