Beware of Bad Carbs

We’d all feel healthier if we avoided foods that kick our insulin response into overdrive, but arthritis sufferers need to be extra careful—research has linked high levels of insulin to increased levels of inflammation. High-glycemic foods like refined flour, white rice, and white potatoes are the worst offenders, so choose whole-wheat flour, brown rice, and sweet potatoes instead.
