Windy Weather Skincare Essentials

By Barbara Hey

1. Moisturize by day with a lotion that hydrates well. Use it liberally and often.
2. Moisturize by night with a heavy-duty night cream. These are specially formulated with a higher lipid content than would normally be comfortable during the day to help restore softness to the skin.
3. Avoid harsh soaps, which can dry the skin and exaggerate the effects of cold and wind. Use a good-quality mild cleanser formulated for sensitive skin.
4. Bundle up. Keep soft skin well-covered to prevent excessive water loss.
