According to the results of a recent Canadian study, men who consume comparatively high amounts of dairy products are at an increased risk of developing testicular cancer.
After comparing the dietary habits of 601 patients with testicular cancer and 744 comparable men without cancer, researchers determined testicular cancer risk increases with one’s intake of dairy foods. In particular, men who ate comparatively high amounts of cheese were found to have an 87 percent higher chance of developing the disease.
The role of diet in the development of testicular cancer requires further
investigation, but this study provides evidence that dairy food consumption may be linked to the disease.
