What’s On Your Table?

Nearly two-thirds of Americans state their main reason for purchasing locally sourced food is to support local businesses (and they will readily pay more to get it). Some also agree locally grown foods are healthier, better for the environment because of reduced transportation costs and fossil fuel emissions, and are held to higher production standards than foods produced in other regions or countries. Furthermore, many think the taste and quality of local products are better than their counterparts produced elsewhere.
