Team Up with Tea!

Tea-based cocktails are showing up on drink menus nationwide as mixologists experiment with new ways to tap into the natural flavors found in this delectable, thirst-quenching beverage.

Teatulia, named for the region of Northern Bangladesh where their teas are grown, is one company that has jumped on the bandwagon. Local bartenders near Teatulia’s corporate headquarters in Denver have already used these organic, GMO-free teas to create their own unique drinks. From the full-bodied Classic Black to the spicy Tulsi Infusion, there are plenty of flavors to try. They can also be served hot or cold, with or without alcohol.

To skip the brewing and get right down to business, try Owl’s Brew, a line of tea mixers specifically crafted for cocktails. The brews offer a healthier alternative to the traditional soda mixer. The Coco-Lada flavor, a smooth blend of black tea, pineapple, and chai spices, pairs well with spiced rum. Although designed with alcohol in mind, Owl’s Brew does just fine flying solo over a few ice cubes.
