A 2008 study of 91,462 children from birth to age 17 found that children born in the US had significantly higher odds of asthma, eczema, hay fever, and food allergies. Children born outside the US experienced fewer allergies. Kids born outside the US who immigrated and stayed for 10 years had higher odds of eczema and hay fever, though their odds of asthma and food allergies did not increase. Is it something in the water?
