Health News: Green Tea Extract Shows Extensive Health Benefits

Extracts from green tea may lead to improvements in blood pressure, blood-sugar levels, and markers of inflammation, says a new study from Poland with obese hypertensives.

Three months of taking a green-tea extract supplement led to significant reductions in levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) in these individuals, as well as significant decreases in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

There also showed a significant influence on cardiovascular risk factors such as insulin resistance, blood pressure, inflammation, and oxidative stress in patients with obesity-related hypertensions, wrote researchers from Poznan University of Medical Sciences.
